The Fall Harvest Dance will be celebrated on Friday, October 6th, 2017, during 6 and 7 periods. Tickets will be available starting on Monday during both lunch time. The cost of these tickets will be 2 dollars.

All incoming 6th graders are encourage to join us for Jump Start on August 11th from 8:30 am to 10:30 am. Students (and their parents) are invited to the gym for an opening assembly. Students will get to meet their teachers and find their classes and parents can join the tour or remain in the gym to meet the principal and counselors. 

 

Class Schedules: Schedules will be available during registration. Please, note that every effort has been made to give students the elective classes that they want, however, schedule complications may have caused a student to be placed into an elective they did not ask for. If you have a question about the elective classes or the schedule, please see one of the counselors.

Welcome to the 2017 - 2018 year! We are very excited to start another great school year. Our staff, students and parents are amazing!

 

  • Parents or guardian MUST accompany their child (or children) to registration.
  • Parents must also bring the most current copy of their child (or children) immunization record as well as proof of address
  • If you child's immunizations are not up to date, your child will not be allowed to register. For your convenience, a shot clinic will be held August 8th from 9 am to 4 pm at the school. 

All students need to bring proof of address and updated shot records. (Registrar accepts either PNM, NM Gas or a rental agreement as proof of address).

 

John Adams t-shirts and hoodies can be purchased at registration. Dress code, bus information and supply lists will be available for parents.

    • August 8th: 8 am to 4 pm (Shot clinic 9 am to 4 pm)

Below you will find a couple of infographics you can use in your school’s newsletter to remind families: that every day of school matters; when to keep their children home from school due to illness; and how to keep their children healthy.  This information is key to helping reduce chronic absenteeism, not only during flu season, but throughout the school year!

These guidelines are courtesy of our partners at Mission Graduate (missiongraduatenm.org) and are part of the Everyday Matters Attendance Guides.  The guides are full of attendance related information and can be used in discussions between staff and families to promote and address attendance (especially during Parent-Teacher Conferences).  If you would like some guides for your school, please contact your school’s Attendance Liaison or Ron Lucero at ron.lucero@aps.edu.

Also, please keep in mind that absences based on illness are always considered excused (even if the Nurse has not requested that the child be sent home).  This is why informing families about the appropriate times to take or keep their child home is so important. If you need additional information about student illness, please see the Nursing Department website.
